The person hired for the position of Global Supply Chain Manager will provide leadership to execute wholistic global supply chain strategies, with a focus on delivering a service experience that meets our customers expectations. This position will be a key member a Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain Leadership Team and work closely with a Global Business Team, in an industrial market segment (automotive, commercial transportation, industrial construction, etc.).

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Works with Global Business and Manufacturing Leadership Team to create strategic direction and operating plans for a large complex global manufacturing operation supporting an industrial market segment (automotive, commercial transportation, industrial construction, etc.).
Provides supply chain/logistics leadership for the global extended value streams from RM purchase to finished products delivery to customers.
Drives global service performance aligned to customer metrics and expectations.
Lead the advancement of statistical analytics within assigned Supply Chain, such as: predictive modeling, statistics, machine learning, data mining, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and extract insights from structured and unstructured data.
Drive supply chain design into NPI processes to ensure commercialized products are achieving strategic turns and customer lead time objectives.
Interpret industry trends, customer requirements, and business objectives to define guidelines/methods for multiple disciplines within the Supply Chain/Logistics function, such as supply planning, warehousing, transportation, inventory/materials control, import/export, etc. Decisions are independently executed and limited by the objectives/guidelines of the business. Initiates and approves projects to continuously improve efficiency and competitiveness.
Has direct responsibility for functional strategic planning, including establishing and managing budgets for the department.
Provides direct supervision to assigned reports which include objective setting, performance management, and motivating, as well as training and coaching.
Creates solutions for complex and multi-faceted problems, which requires ingenuity, creativity, innovation, strong analytical skills, and 3M supply chain systems.
Problem solving requires thorough understanding of operating unit policies and practices. Applies knowledge of different techniques and practices to achieve desired results.
Partners with business and other functional leaders to deliver expected customer service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory levels. Will be responsible for the division implementation of Integrated Business Planning. Will be an active leader for Business Transformation and delivering value from harmonized corporate processes.
Possess a bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of five (5) combined years of experience in a leadership role within a supply chain and/or manufacturing setting in a private, public, government or military environment
Minimum of fifteen (15) combined years of supply chain and/or manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
APICS or equivalent certification
Certified LSS BB or MBB
Experience with Integrated Business Planning including the Supply Demand Synchronization process
Deploy and manage the global capacity management activity
Trade compliance experience
Understands the intersection between supply chain, finance, and business
Supply chain leadership in a factory or business
Experience leading large cross-functional, manufacturing and/or supply chain organizations
Previous customer facing experience
Ability to be a change agent for driving the next generation of advanced forecast modeling
Excellent communications skills (oral, written and presentation) with the corresponding ability to influence at all levels
Travel: Up to 20% domestic/international
Relocation: Is authorized
