Position Overview:

The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Entry LevelSystem Engineer Support Analyst in Las Cruces, NM. The selected candidate will be responsible for command and control of space vehicles (SV), telemetry monitoring, and execution and verification of products loaded to the SV. This position requires working a variety of fluctuating schedules (24x7). The candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts which include working days, nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides assistance to develop, gather and document basic technical data for company products and system-level concepts in the projected operational environments to optimize effectiveness over the program lifecycle.
  • Assists with the application of systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools to the design of basic system of systems, systems and new product development.
  • Provides assistance to derive and define architectures, functional requirements, refinements and product designs.
  • Ability to work under close supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires an active/current U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI and a current Counter-Intelligence (CI) polygraph. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.).
  • Bachelor's degree or more completed till the end of December 2020.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Classroom or work related experience with aerospace engineering vehicles.
  • Experience with integrated ground and flight command, control, and communication systems.
  • Certified/qualified as an Operator on the Space Vehicle mission on Double Eagle.
  • Experience using computers and learning new computer systems.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (eg Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. (Basic relocation is available for internal candidates)

Additional Details:

  • This position requires the successful completion of a certification program.
  • Selected candidate will be provided specialized training in order to learn the necessary skills related to ground and SV configuration management allowing them to obtain the necessary certifications required for this position.
  • The certification requires a combination of self-study and on-the-job (OJT) training.
