F-15 USAF Trainers, a team in Boeing Global Services' Training and Professional Services' Training Systems organization, is currently seeking systems engineers to design and manage updates of the F-15C Mission Training Center (MTC) and F-15 Squadron Based Trainer (SBT) platforms. Working with product management and leadership, subject matter experts, engineering teams, and test engineers throughout the entire development, fielding and operation lifecycle, successful candidates will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. They will evaluate customer and/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture, and will provide technical data and documentation in accordance with contractual requirements and procedures for internal reference and external delivery.

Due to the technical complexity of these trainer systems, a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry is required. Experience in related engineering fields, such as software engineering, is highly desired. Experience with trainers and training systems is desired, but not required. Knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems is a plus, but also not required.

This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively to reach decisions that are mutually acceptable to multiple engineering and support teams.

The possession of, or ability to gain, a U.S. DoD Secret clearance is mandatory with preference given to those who have completed a background investigation within the last five years.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry attained by December 2020 or earlier
  • Experience multi-tasking and working in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively to reach decisions that are mutually acceptable to multiple engineering and support teams.

Desired Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other agile development methods
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with computing infrastructure, trainers, and training systems is desired
  • Knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems

Typical Education and Experience:
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
