The foundation of which is the thoughtful assembly and masterful delivery of our proprietary hardware.The Technical Manufacturing Lead will touch and influence every aspect of the Density hardware process cycle. This includes: coordinating receipt of components and modules, manufacturing of our DPUs (Depth Processing Units), managing production inventory, coordinating customer-specific device configurations, and ultimate order fulfillment.In this role you will support our Hardware Engineering and Operations teams primarily through the assembly and test of existing volume product. You will also be responsible for executing design validation experiments and prototype builds of future product. An ideal candidate is a self-starter, embraces challenges, and is looking for a fast-paced collaborative environment.This role reports to our Sr. Process Engineer.Here's what we're looking for:Passion for careful, detailed, precision work in the assembly of an electronics hardware product.Previous hardware and/or electrical assembly experience, with skill in: soldering, SMT/TH component rework, and ESD best practices.Advanced proficiency in mechanical assembly with associated powered/manual tools (drills, torque drivers, wrenches, etc.)Ability to explicitly and repeatedly follow documented instructions, process, and procedures (SOPs) with consistent results.Dedication to meet/maintain daily production goals and awareness to provide feedback on process improvements via DFM/DFA.Transparency and reliability in documenting failures, yield loss, and other output impacts coupled with appropriate solution recommendations.Exceptional attention to detail and care in material identification, handling, and storage of parts.Working knowledge of receiving/inspection and quality sampling processes.Willingness to maintain cleanliness, organization, and accurate inventory counts.Consistently maintain product quality and safe work practices. Familiar with and eager to enforce 6S practices.Ability to motivate and manage others in the full product build process and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.Icing on the cake:Advanced proficiency with Google's G-Suite (Sheets, Docs, Pages)Comfort with JIRA and ConfluenceExperience with supply chain management and ERP toolsAbility to support flexible hoursSyracuse.com.
