ESCO has openings for Industrial Mechanic/Millwrights at the Port Hope, ON foundry. Rotating Shift Job Duties: Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures Install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machineries Ensure operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations Sharpen and maintain machine tools Participate in the preventative maintenance program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machineries Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area Perform other related duties as assigned Job Qualifications: Hold a valid 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright for minimum of 5 years 5+ years work experience in a similar position Working knowledge of equipment safety standards Experience with stick welding Experience in a foundry and/or heavy manufacturing is preferred Must be permanently authorized to work in Canada Candidates must also be highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse working environment as a member of a team; able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing; have experience using PLCs; able to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines; deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
