Responsibilities includes performing engine development and durability testing on the test cell while ensuring that the test cell is ready and capable of meeting the requested testing goals and deadlines. All test cell test programming, engine calibration setting, cell maintenance and instrumentation calibration is required. Review testing methods to determine areas for improvement in accuracy of the results, consistency of the results, and the efficiency of the processes involved.
Requirements includes B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis in internal combustion engines and associated coursework such as fluid dynamics and thermodynamics. Minimum 3- 5 years experience with development and testing of engines and components utilizing an engine dynamometer including setup and maintenance, development of test procedures, data acquisition and analysis. Hands-on experience of test equipment inspection, maintenance and minor repair. Previous data analysis, summarizing, and reporting writing experience. Proficient in Puma, Concerto, Excel, Word, database, and data acquisition software. Physical demands requirements includes bending and lifting up to 25 lbs.
