The Corporate Sr. Director, Procurement Mechanical Commodities will lead strategic procurement efforts across the Honeywell organization for Mechanical Commodities, Reporting to the VP, Global Direct Materials, this position is responsible for Honeywell's strategy and execution across the spend category. Mechanical commodities including but not limited to castings, machining, stampings, plastics, raw material metals, and packaging. This role is the sourcing lead to the Honeywell Strategic Business Groups (SBG's) with responsibility for process definition, deployment, results and improvement, strategy development and implementation oversight of local purchasing practices in the regions. This role requires delivery to an annual operating plan for material deflation, savings and cash/working capital improvement, and has a direct impact on the financial performance of the businesses.
Specific responsibilities include:
Leading and mentoring the COE Procurement leadership team, driving alignment with SBGs for Mechanical Commodities procurementDriving alignment between procurement and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) practices, processes and key business deliverablesDeveloping and driving Honeywell's procurement strategy for the category in direct leadership responsibility for the corporate Mechanical CommoditiesStrategy Teams to deliver a \"one Honeywell\" procurement approachDriving cross-SBG synergies and best practice sharing, to include delivering SBG and Corporate Procurement performance metricsLead supplier development and strategic supply base management Developing and driving a procurement talent management process including the development of talent pipelines for ProcurementDriving synergies and strategy around transition projects in the regionDelivering business results including productivity, working capital improvement, supplier performance (quality and delivery) and continuity of supplyDeveloping and maintaining effective supplier relationships, to include consolidating based on strategic analysisIdentifying new/current suppliers globally and in region who have the capacity and capability to meet the cost, quality and service needs of the businessLead direct reports to successful achievement of assigned goals and ensure policy compliance across the regionDevelop and implement strategies to enable global spend leverage and competitive pricing, quality, delivery and risk management with the supply baseUnderstand competitive trends in key geographic markets for alternate materials or services to ensure Honeywell has \"right\" competitive supply solutions
