We are seeking an Ocean Systems Engineer to support prototype systems development from concept through installation and testing on US Navy platforms.
As a Ocean Systems Engineer you will...
Support life cycle activities of operational Research and Development (R&D) systems including making system modifications and upgrades, developing and maintaining standard Navy Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products (eg training material, system user guides, technical manuals and Quality Assurance (QA) documentation).
Prepare, coordinate, maintain and/or participate in generation of system test plans and system testing activities for equipment on U.S. Naval vessels, Field Test Facilities, Test Barges and at Program facilities.
Provide shore based and at sea training to U.S. Navy personnel to operate and maintain supported systems.
Document activities and results, prepare technical reports, present results, and demonstrate system capabilities to peer review groups, partners, working groups, and sponsors.
Design and implement IT networking systems.
Provide liaison between U.S. Navy, Sponsor, Program Management Offices, contractors and Fleet Commanders, as required.
You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...
Have real-world hands-on experience with Navy electronics and systems.
Have experience in shipboard installations and procedures.
Have experience in the Navy's Temporary Alteration (TEMPALT) Process.
Have a current TS/SCI Clearance.
