RESPONSIBILITIES Kforce has a client in search of a Systems Engineer - Cloud in Atlanta, GA. This role is currently 100 remote and will switch back to an office environment when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Job Purpose This role will be part of a new team responsible for planning, building and supporting technologies that are running in AWS. As part of a larger team, every day will bring new and exciting challenges on the job. You will be surrounded by people who are passionate about cloud computing and believe that support is critical to customer success. Responsibilities Develop utilities or furthering existing application and system management tools and processes that reduce manual efforts and increase overall efficiency Build and maintain CloudFormation templates and scripts to automate and deploy AWS resources and configuration changes Educate and mentor team members, operations staff and other departments on AWS concepts Provide technical analysis, resolve problems, and propose solutions in a 247 production environment Monitor and research cloud technologies and stay current with trends in the industry REQUIREMENTS Experience reviewing and refining design and architecture documents presented by teams for operational readiness, fault tolerance and scalability Daily experience with primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, CloudWatch and S3, Lambda, Fargate) Strong track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments Experience implementing highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise software deployments at scale by leveraging industry standard tools, such as Git, Jenkins, Terraform or equivalent Practical experience with 2+ years in a relevant role as a Systems Engineer, SRE, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent Infrastructure automation through coding andor scripting Bash, Perl, Python, Java, Ruby, PowerShell, Go Configuration management using CloudFormation, Chef and Puppet Operating System knowledge in both Linux and Windows Experience managing production operations, including data assurance, monitoring, and alerting Kforce is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer.
