RESPONSIBILITIES Kforce has a client in search of a Systems Engineer II in Silver Spring, MD. Essential Functions Provide remote troubleshooting for desktop hardware and software support Resolve escalated Call Center Tech Support tickets and provide remote support Install, monitor, troubleshoot, and support, end user PCs related to Win10 OS Document Incidents and Work Orders with detailed break-fix steps and resolution in ticket tracking system as prescribed by the project team Provide triage and research for Win10 upgrade issues that cannot be readily identified and resolved by Tier 1 or 2 within prescribed SLAs Regularly update and track tickets to keep customer apprised of status of ticket Reassign or escalate incidents and requests to appropriate support level, third parties or other teams Interact effectively and professionally with customer Interact effectively and professionally with onsite and remote technical teams Follow established processes and procedures Create and maintain (as needed) advanced technical troubleshooting documentation REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree preferred in IT or closely related field with a 2 - 4 years of experience Minimum of 2 years' experience working in support of desk side services Experience supporting a large infrastructure, data center, and software upgrade projects (i.e., Windows10 upgrade) in a government agency setting Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for remote patch and software deployment Advanced PC problem solving and network troubleshooting skills Experience supporting Win10 Perform other related duties as assigned Excellent verbal and written communication skills, phone etiquette, keyboarding skills, data entry skills, people skills, customer focused and service oriented, attentive to details, act with professionalism, able to multi-task Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Government Agencies a plus Experience working with ServiceNow and O365 Ability to work individually and with minimal supervision Kforce is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer.
