The Director of Global Infrastructure is responsible for managing the full life cycle of major IT infrastructure engagement delivery work across a dynamic global footprint. This includes providing detailed strategic planning for technology roadmaps, in-depth contractual oversight, and in-depth financial oversight across a wide variety of operational areas.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Work with Kids 2 executive and departmental leadership to define strategic infrastructure priorities and timing. Strategize, define and maintain detailed quarterly roadmaps, and high-level annual roadmap.
Ensure infrastructure projects and activities are scrutinized and vetted for long-term strategic fit, documented, coordinated, planned and executed in an effective, timely, and financially responsible manner.
Develop reliable, timely budgets for projects and recurring infrastructure expenditures for executive approval
Liaison with Legal and other business units to ensure compliance with global initiatives or proactively define alternate solutions for enterprise, office and community infrastructure. Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements
Manage hurdles and obstacles to ensure successful project and task completion.
Transform technical ideas into enterprise solutions with input from key stakeholders.
Define and implement infrastructure standards to provide a secure computing environment and minimize variability throughout the enterprise.
Recruit, lead and develop key members of the infrastructure team
Confirm infrastructure is installed consistent with specifications. Maintain the operational integrity, stability and efficiency of the end user services and computing environment provided to the company.
Recommend and implement changes to increase efficiency and interdepartmental interaction and processes improvements.

Maintains minimum disruption to business by assuring all supported applications and infrastructure are performing within expected service levels.
Oversee helpdesk operations alongside business partner to ensure expected and contracted SLA?s are maintained
Provide monthly KPI reporting and relevant metrics to upper management that drive IT processes by measurable successes
Evaluate current procedures and processes and continuously develop and implement improved practices
Perform root cause analysis for Helpdesk service interruption and recovery; create preventative measures
Manage all IT Helpdesk escalation trees to ensure minimal negative impact to business and customers
Maintain current VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) and lead future state manufacturing VDI investments to ensure seamless global team operations
Oversee and manage team responsible for all elements of equipment procurement, delivery and support channels
Lead and oversee day-to-day operations and oversight of L1 and L2 IT staff.
Negotiate, Manage and maintain business relationship with 3rd Party IT Support firms
Ensures all system data is stored and backed up appropriately and timely according to established criteria.
Manage Hybrid Cloud and on-prem and offshore IT support structure
Consult with relevant vendors regularly to develop and implement proposals aligned with business needs and goals
Keep abreast of current trends and developments in the industry and provide recommendations on opportunities to improve or expand services.
Interface with Business Stakeholders on all applicable projects. Update management on all escalated issues
Responsible for management annual budget procurement budget of roughly $3 million dollars
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE?
Must have 10 years minimum experience in a IT infrastructure management role with progressive responsibility.
10+ years? Systems administration experience must demonstrate responsibility for the operation of Windows Server hardware installation of operating system and application software Active Directory DNS daily back-ups utilities etc
4+ years? experience understanding network infrastructure and managing network infrastructure staff.
8+ years? working in a cloud environment
Experience effectively managing other people. Supervise staff development, including coaching and mentoring, of all IT staff.
Experience effectively collaborating and working with resources not in your chain of command.
Experience in managing 3rd parties and 3rd party delivered services ensuring their compliance against contracts.
Experience with High-availability technologies like load balancing and clustering
Documenting processes and creating and maintaining operating procedures experience.
Experience reading blueprints desired
EDUCATION & SKILLS
Bachelor?s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field is required
Excellent verbal, writing and interpersonal communication skills required.
Must be able to initiate projects, follow through, achieve oCompanyomes, and work independently
Able to work under tight time constraints and extended hours as required.
Basic understanding of A/V systems, wireless, and general routing/switching
Strong knowledge of Office 365, CISCO, and Microsoft Azure solutions
Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
Able to travel regularly.? Typically, 25% to 33% of the time. Occasionally more.
Certifications that demonstrate a high degree of proficiency with IT Infrastructure and Security are desired.
