As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will be part of a central team responsible for analysis of high speed digital designs and power distribution networks, having a direct impact on product quality and reliability. The team partners with Rockwell Automations system architect, logic design, ASIC development and PCB Design teams globally. Opportunities will exist to educate others and grow your own skills.
Creates the signal integrity strategy for assigned projects with oversight from more senior engineers
Develops methods and procedures for Signal Integrity team
Represents Signal Integrity on new/legacy product project team and coordinates Signal Integrity activities with those of other departments
Communicates project status, concepts and issues and matches the message to the audience
Manages small and medium complexity projects independently
Works with architecture and design teams to evaluate design tradeoffs for design optimization considering performance, cost and manufacturability requirements
Recommends process improvements to increase team capabilities and efficiency
Generates and verifies PCB layout guidelines
Provides input to SI project requirements and schedule estimates
Performs pre- and post-route signal integrity analysis of high speed designs.
Participates with PCB layout designer in optimizing layout and resolving issues
Validates simulations in the lab and determines if design specifications are met
Provides advice and consultation for members of the Signal Integrity department and other departments.
