Salient CRGT has an opening for a Systems engineer will assist the Software License Management (SLM) Program Manager within Enterprise Architecture (EA) to support the establishment and implementation of an SLM Program across the Judiciary with a focus in Data Analysis, Normalization, and Systems Integration.Key Responsibilities:Executes a variety of data analysis tasks - works independently, a self-starter and highly motivated to meet both functional and team objectivesSupport the collection, ingestion, and normalization, of software consumption dataAnalyze data and support the development and maintenance of a software license inventoryAssist with the development of reporting to address management requirements/inquiriesSupports Software Asset Management (SAM) tools, processes and procedures to automate the collection, storage and reporting of key software data so that the products can be managed across the enterprise in an effective mannerAssist the SLM Program Manager in evaluating various SAM tools executing a Proof of Concept (POC) confirming functionality and documenting requirementsRequired QualificationsA combination of Ten (10) years of IT experience related to Systems Integration, Database Administration, and IT OperationsMinimum of Five (5) years of experience working with federal governmentStrong quantitative, analytical, problem solving skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of dataAble to conduct and interpret quantitative or qualitative analysisWorking knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM) principles and practicesAble to facilitate discussions with IT engineering, support and with vendorsStrong understanding and working experience installing and configuring servers and softwareHighly proficient with using SQL queries and access databasesHighly proficient in Excel (pivot tables, V/Hlookup, functional arguments)Experience with Asset Management tools and technologies (e.g. BMC ADDM, Dell KACE, Microsoft System Center (SCCM, SCOM), IBM BigFix)Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio) is required.#TKreqDesired QualificationsMinimum BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or Management, or commensurate experience is preferredExperience with Software Asset Management (SAM) specific tools (e.g. Flexera, Aspera, SNOW, Ivanti, ServiceNow) is a plusIATAM certifications are not required but consider a plus: Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) and Certified ITIL Foundation or a strong knowledge of Software Asset Management principals / practices preferredSalient CRGT is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
