STS is seeking a Network Technician to support an upcoming program involving acquisition, upgrade, and sustainment of a family of physical and electronic security systems as well as the development and insertion of technology to meet diverse and emerging security requirements.
Physical and Electronic systems involve: Fixed site Electronic Security Systems (ESS), including, but not limited to: Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) Access Control Systems (ACS) Automated Entry Control Systems (AECS)oSurveillance Systems Tactical security systems Delay/denial systems Counter-small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAS)
Position Roles and Responsibilities Engages in the operation and support of network facilities, including all communications equipment in large scale or multi-shift operations. Supervises complex operations that involve two or more additional functions such as, but not limited to, network installation, network configuration, network operations, systems security, systems software support, and production support activities. Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems. Provides the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communications machinery, lines, modems, and terminals). Monitors and controls the performance and status of the network resources
Minimum/General Experience Per DoD 8570.01-Manual, installation/maintenance personnel having administrative credentials for the system shall have Information Assurance Technician Level II certification. These personnel shall have OEM certifications for administration of the equipment to be utilized (such as CCNA or equivalent).
Education High School Clearance Level Secret Travel 20 - 30%
